A. Introduction
At BabySea, we believe that artificial intelligence should be developed and used in ways that respect human autonomy, prevent harm, and promote fairness. This document outlines our ethical approach to AI development and provides guidelines for the responsible use of our AI tools and services.
B. Our Ethical Framework
1. Human-Centered Design
Our AI systems are designed to augment human capabilities, not replace human judgment. We develop our AI tools with consideration for:
- User needs and expectations.
- Appropriate levels of human oversight and control.
- Clear communication about AI capabilities and limitations.
- Enhancing rather than diminishing human agency and decision-making.
2. Fairness and Inclusion
We strive to build AI systems that work equitably for diverse users and avoid perpetuating biases. Our approach includes:
- Evaluating our training data for potential biases.
- Testing our systems across different demographic groups.
- Providing equitable access to our AI tools.
- Designing for accessibility and inclusion.
3. Transparency
Users should understand when they are interacting with AI and have appropriate visibility into how AI systems function. We commit to:
- Clearly indicating when content is AI-generated.
- Providing explanations of AI processes appropriate to the context.
- Being forthright about the limitations of our AI capabilities.
- Offering channels for questions and feedback about our AI systems.
4. Privacy and Security
We respect user privacy and implement robust security measures for our AI systems:
- Collecting only the data necessary for the stated purpose.
- Implementing strong data protection and security practices.
- Following our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.
- Giving users appropriate controls over their data.
5. Accountability
We take responsibility for our AI systems and their impacts:
- Conducting appropriate risk assessments.
- Establishing clear lines of responsibility.
- Providing mechanisms for feedback and redress.
- Continuously monitoring our systems for unintended consequences.
